Because the Internet: The Collective Manifesto

So, a while back I did an interesting thing that some artist find beneficial to their practice and I wrote a manifesto. I had previously done this as a class assignment, but we were given guidelines and parameters and that didn't hold true to what I thought the manifesto represented for the artist who wrote them. Years later, I was feeling frustrated with myself, my art and the direction everything else was going. This forced me to ask myself what I want from my art and why I want to pursue it so bad. The manifesto was my best efforts to capture frustration and create something tangible and inspiring for myself (and others) to check my motivations and philosophical ideas that didn't seem to fit into the boxes that are customarily used in labeling artist, against their desire.
